Project Description
The 36th episode of the weekly radio programme “We Are All Able” featured Mr. Netra Prasad Koirala, a person with a physical disability and Section Officer at the Ministry of Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security.
Mr. Koirala shared his journey of overcoming barriers in education and employment and highlighted the importance of accessibility, rehabilitation, equal opportunities and inclusion.
He emphasized that disability should not be a barrier to meaningful participation and contribution in society, and that improving opportunities for persons with disabilities requires the collective efforts of individuals, families, communities and institutions.
The programme promotes awareness, dignity, empowerment, accessibility, rehabilitation and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. Rotary Club of Patan supports the initiative through the RCP-KPAD programme and works with partner organizations in promoting disability inclusion, dignity, accessibility, rehabilitation and equal opportunities. Ability Development Society of Nepal (ADSoN), The Rose International Fund for Children (TRIFC), Radio Sagarmatha FM 102.4, invited guests, persons with disabilities and other stakeholders.
