Library Training

A three-day Library Training Program for Teachers and Students was conducted from 1st to 3rd July 2026 under Global Grant Project GG2465963. The training was hosted by the Rotary Club of Rudramati, Kathmandu, District 3292, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Hsinchu Central, RID 3501, and supported by the Rotaract Club of Rudramati-Babarmal-Kathmandu and One Step For Change
The main objective of the training was to improve the effective use and management of the school library. Teachers were trained on basic library management, book classification, shelving, record keeping, book issue and return procedures, and the use of library resources to support classroom teaching. Students were introduced to proper library practices, book selection, reading habits, information searching, and care of library materials.
The training included presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, practical exercises, and reading activities. Both teachers and students actively participated throughout the program.
The training successfully enhanced participants’ knowledge and skills in library utilization and management. It also encouraged students to develop regular reading habits and promoted a culture of independent learning. The program is expected to contribute to the sustainable and effective use of the modern library facility.
