Project Description

As part of the World Breastfeeding Week celebration, Rotary Club of Palpa Lumbini successfully conducted a Breastfeeding Awareness Program at the Postnatal Ward of Lumbini Medical College.
During the program, awareness was shared with new mothers on the importance of early initiation of breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, proper maternal nutrition, and the lifelong health benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child.
To support the health and well-being of mothers and their newborns, the club also distributed nutritious food packages for postnatal mothers and clothing for newborn babies.
Objective of this initiative was to promote awareness about the importance of breastfeeding, encourage healthy maternal and newborn care practices, improve nutritional support for postnatal mothers, and contribute to a healthier start for every child.
Together, let us continue to create healthier communities by empowering mothers and giving every child the best possible start in life.
