Project Description
Under the KPAD Fund (Fund for Persons with Disabilities) of Rotary Club of Patan, the 5th batch of the STAR Project, implemented by Ability Development Society of Nepal (ADSoN) with TRIFC and Rotary Club of Patan – KPAD as funding partners, was inaugurated on 9 August 2026 in Banepa.
Following the successful graduation of the 4th batch, the new batch comprises 15 Deaf and Hard of Hearing participants who will receive 10 days of practical training in Mushroom Farming, focusing on vocational skills, self-employment, and economic empowerment.
The programme is supported by Kavre Deaf Association as the coordination partner, including the training venue and Sign Language Interpreter, with cooperation from Kavre Deaf School. The 5th batch continues the project's commitment to creating inclusive and sustainable livelihood opportunities for Persons with Disabilities.
