Tree Plantation at Vaisnawi Devi Temple

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the Rotary Club of Lalitpur Midtown successfully organized an environmental conservation and community service Tree Plantation event at the Shree Vaisnawi Devi Temple in Nakkhu, Lalitpur-4. Embracing the Rotary International theme "Create Lasting Impact" and the District 3292 vision "Life is beautiful in Rotary," the event saw an inspiring turnout. Around 15 Home Club Rotarians, 2 District Officials, 4 Rotaractors, 5 guests, and a few local residents gathered to plant more than 150 Kapoor saplings, accompanied by Dhuppi plants.
With the vision of cultivating a vibrant ‘Kapoor Bagaicha’, this initiative was completed in the gracious presence of District Governor Rtn. Vishnu Bahadur Karkee. Executed with zero cost budget, the project received valuable collaboration and direct support from local partners GreenValley GreenNepal and Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No - 4. Participants enthusiastically engaged in digging, planting, and watering the new saplings, directly benefiting the local community of Nakkhu and daily temple visitors.
Ultimately, this initiative improved the green cover around the temple grounds and fostered strong local partnerships. To ensure a truly lasting ecological impact, both GreenValley GreenNepal and Ward No - 4 have committed to a three-year guarantee for the care and monitoring of the saplings, pledging to oversee and manage the plants as they grow into a full grove. This sustainable, long-term approach beautifully demonstrates Rotary's enduring commitment to collaborative community service.
