Project Description
In support of Rotary International District 3292's goal of expanding green cover through large-scale tree plantation, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square successfully organized the Miyawaki Tree Plantation Project on 1 August 2026 at Hattiban, Lalitpur, in collaboration with 10 Rotary Clubs of RID 3292 (Nepal–Bhutan). The initiative contributed to the District's environmental conservation campaign by promoting the Miyawaki plantation technique, known for its high survival rate and rapid forest growth. The project also focused on conserving indigenous tree species, including those traditionally used in constructing the sacred Machhindranath Rath, thereby supporting both environmental sustainability and the preservation of Nepal's rich cultural heritage for future generations.
