Project Description

Rotary Club of Kathmandu Height organized,
“Vision Screening” Jyoti Project at Shree Janak Secondary School,
Namobuddha, Kavre on 28th July 2026 supported by Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Midtown, and
Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Height from Rotary District 3292 under the
project name “Jyoti”.
Project is aimed to identify “Vision related problems in school students”
The event saw active participation from Rotary and Rotaract members, Family
members, Local stakeholders; including school officials and community
leaders.
Rtn. Raja Ram Joshi, Past President of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu Height
and Project Coordinator; led the team of Rotaractors in successfully conducting
eye check-ups of 700 students.
The School Management Committee coordinated and supported the smooth eye
check-ups of the students, while the Rotaractors conducted vision screening
Aligned with District Governor, Vishnu Bahadur Karki’s campaign for “Eye
care awareness for 5000 people, Cataract screening for 50,000 people and
Cataract surgery for 4000 people”, this initiative reflects Rotary’s dedication
to environmental sustainability and community welfare.
With a total cost of NPR 35000 rupees (including transport, food, allowances
and fellowship), this project stands as a model of collaborative and impactful service.
