Project Description

'Rotary Park' Development Campaign Gains Momentum: Rotary Club of Palpa Lumbini Plants 300 Saplings
Palpa, July 30, 2026 (Shrawan 15, 2083 BS) – With a long-term vision of developing Buddha Park in Ward No. 7 into a "Rotary Park," the Rotary Club of Palpa Lumbini successfully organized a tree plantation program at Buddha Park, Prabhas, under the Rotary District's environmental conservation campaign. During the event, approximately 300 saplings were planted. The club also announced its commitment to contribute approximately NPR 100,000 towards the park's conservation, beautification, and promotion of greenery.
The program was chaired by Rotarian Shikha Pahari, President of the Rotary Club of Palpa Lumbini, with Mr. Pradeep Khanal, Chairperson of Ward No. 7, serving as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by IPP Rtn. Laxman Koirala, club presidents, past presidents, fellow Rotarians, and local residents, with an overall participation of around 40–50 people. The program was hosted by President-Elect Rtn. Mukti Ram Bhusal.
Organized with the objective of promoting environmental conservation alongside community development, the event also marked the occasion of Shrawan 15, during which participants shared a traditional community meal featuring kheer (rice pudding), vegetable curry, and sel roti, reflecting the spirit of fellowship and togetherness
