Project Description
Rotary Club of Central Lumbini marked its 11th Installation Ceremony by launching a meaningful public awareness campaign promoting the responsible use of food and water. As part of the initiative, the club presented beautifully designed display photo wall frames carrying the messages “Do Not Waste Food” and “Do Not Waste Water” to local hotels and restaurants.
The campaign aims to encourage hotel operators and their guests to adopt responsible consumption habits by taking only the food they can eat, avoiding unnecessary food wastage, and using water wisely. The awareness displays will be placed in prominent locations within participating establishments, reminding visitors that every individual action contributes to a more sustainable future.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotary Club of Central Lumbini President Rtn. Gangadhar Bhandari emphasized that conserving food and water is not only an environmental responsibility but also a humanitarian commitment. He noted that reducing waste helps protect natural resources, minimizes environmental impact, and supports the well-being of future generations.
Inspired by Rotary International’s 2026–27 theme, “Create Lasting Impact,” the initiative reflects the club’s commitment to creating positive and sustainable change within the community. The club also reaffirmed its dedication to continuing similar projects that promote environmental conservation, responsible resource management, and community awareness.
Through this campaign, Rotary Club of Central Lumbini hopes to inspire hotels, restaurants, and the general public to make simple yet meaningful changes in their daily lives—because every meal saved and every drop of water conserved creates a lasting impact.
