Green Campaign At Bageshwari Bahumukhi Campus, Artificial Limb Support to Female Student

Under the Rotary Tree Plantation Week 2026 campaign, the Rotary Club of Central Banke successfully organized a tree plantation program at Bageshwari Multiple Campus, Kohalpur-11, Banke. The program was held under the chief guestship of Mr. Dan Bahadur Hamal, Campus Chief.

The event was attended by Rotarian Ishwori Jung Malla, President of the Rotary Club of Central Banke; Rotarian Gangaram Chaulagain, Immediate Past President; Rotarian Uday Chandra Paudel, Club Secretary; Rotarian Ashok Prasad Pokharel, Vice President and Kohalpur Regional Project Coordinator; Rotarian Mohabir Khadka, Club Administration Chair; Bed Raj Lamsal, Campus Administration Chief; campus faculty members; students; and representatives of various stakeholder organizations.

With the objective of promoting environmental conservation, enhancing biodiversity, and mitigating the impacts of climate change, 50 saplings of different species were planted on the campus premises. The initiative reflects Rotary's long-term commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.

Speaking at the program, Rotarian Ashok Prasad Pokharel, Kohalpur Regional Project Coordinator, highlighted the direct and long-term benefits that tree plantation brings to local communities. He emphasized that environmental conservation is not a one-day campaign but a shared responsibility toward future generations and urged everyone to actively participate in protecting and nurturing the planted saplings.

Addressing the gathering, Campus Chief Mr. Dan Bahadur Hamal stated that the tree plantation program was not merely about planting trees but about creating a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future for coming generations. He expressed his pride that Bageshwari Multiple Campus had been selected under Rotary District 3292's "District-Wide 100,000 Tree Plantation Campaign."

On the same occasion, Rotarian Ishwori Jung Malla, President of the Rotary Club of Central Banke, announced the club's commitment to provide a prosthetic limb to a female student studying at Bageshwari Multiple Campus. He expressed confidence that this support would positively contribute to her education, self-confidence, mobility, and future opportunities.

He also announced that the club would soon organize a one-day Financial Literacy Program for the students of the campus to enhance their financial awareness and practical knowledge.

At the conclusion of the program, participants reaffirmed the message, "Plant a Tree Today, Protect Tomorrow's Future," expressing their collective commitment to expanding greenery and promoting environmental conservation through continued community participation.
